Cyber Duels Terms of Use

Effective date: 28 October 2026
Provider: Jordan Armour, an individual developer based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia ("we", "us", "our")

These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the Cyber Duels game, website and online services (the "Game"). By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't play. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to play.

If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to play and to make purchases. Your parent or guardian also agrees to these terms for you.

2. Your licence to play

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and play the Game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. If you got the Game from the Apple App Store, you can also use it as allowed by Apple's Usage Rules.

You must not: - copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the Game, except where the law allows it; - use cheats, hacks, bots, modified clients, exploits or automation; - interfere with the servers, other players' connections or match results; - use the Game to break the law.

We (or our licensors) own the Game and everything in it: the art, cards, names, music and code. "Cyber Duels" is our name for the Game.

3. Accounts

4. Player names and conduct

Your player name is public. Names must be 3–14 letters, numbers or underscores, and our server screens them. Even so, you must not choose a name that is offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening, impersonates someone else, contains personal information (yours or anyone's), or advertises something.

Play fair and be decent: - no cheating, hacking, exploiting bugs, deliberately disconnecting to dodge losses, or quitting or going AFK (idle) in matches; - no win-trading, boosting, or using multiple accounts to farm rewards or trophies; - no harassment, for example spamming friend requests or challenges.

You can block a player from your Friends screen, and see and unblock players in the BLOCKED list there. Where the game offers it, you can also report or block a player from their profile (tap their name on the leaderboard, in your friends list or on the after-match screen) and pick a reason from a fixed list. You can always report a player by emailing us their player name and #TAG. Reports are private: the reported player isn't told who reported them. Don't make false or abusive reports. We review reports and may act on them (see below).

If you break these rules, we may rename your account, reset trophies, progress or rewards that were gained unfairly, remove you from leaderboards, or suspend or close your account (see section 11).

5. Virtual items and currencies

The Game has two virtual currencies (credits (◆) and crystals (💎)) and virtual items such as cards, card levels, chests, emotes, banners, titles and Cyber Pass rewards ("Virtual Items").

6. Purchases

7. Chests (random rewards) and drop odds

Chests contain random Virtual Items. You may not get the item you want, and you may get items you already have. Chests can be earned in play or bought with credits and, where the Game offers it, with crystals, including crystals bought with real money.

Whenever chests can be bought with crystals, we show the odds of every possible reward in the Game before you buy or open a chest: - a drop-odds button on each chest's buy/open screen; - an odds link on each Cyber Pass tier that contains a chest; - a drop-odds page in Settings that lists every chest.

The odds shown come from the same settings our server uses to roll chests. If we change the odds, we'll update these pages before the change applies.

8. Seasons and the Cyber Pass

The Cyber Pass has a free track and a premium track (unlocked with crystals) and runs in seasons. Season 1 ends on 24 November 2026. Some rewards are only available during a particular season and won't come back. We may change future seasons, rewards, quests, events and their timing. Rewards you've already earned and claimed stay yours, subject to these terms.

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time, in the Game where it offers this (SETTINGS tab > ACCOUNT box > Delete Account) or by emailing us. Deleting your account permanently removes your progress and Virtual Items, including any unspent crystals you bought. These aren't refunded. If you delete in the Game, it warns you and asks you to confirm first. See the Privacy Policy for what data is kept afterwards.

10. Online service

The Game needs an internet connection for online battles, cloud saves, friends, leaderboards, the Cyber Pass and purchases. We aim to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. We may need maintenance, updates or changes, and you may need to install the latest version to keep playing online.

We may stop running the Game. If we do, we'll give at least 30 days' notice in the Game where we reasonably can, and we'll stop selling crystals once we announce it. Your rights under consumer law still apply (see section 12).

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop playing at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or close your account, or remove Virtual Items gained unfairly, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if it's needed to protect other players or the Game, or if the law requires it. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond. Sections 5, 7, 12, 13 and 15 continue after termination.

12. Australian Consumer Law and your legal rights

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure with the service, you're entitled to cancel your service contract with us, and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You're also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure doesn't amount to a major failure, you're entitled to have problems with the service fixed in a reasonable time. If that isn't done, you're entitled to cancel your contract and get a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded, including consumer laws in your own country.

13. Limits on our responsibility

Subject to section 12, and as far as the law allows: - the Game is provided "as is" and "as available"; - we're not responsible for loss caused by things outside our reasonable control, or by you breaking these terms; - where we can't exclude a guarantee but are allowed to limit our liability, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

14. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded the Game from the Apple App Store: - These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the Game and its content. - Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Game. - If the Game doesn't meet any applicable warranty, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price for the Game (if any). To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the Game. - We, not Apple, are responsible for handling claims about the Game, including product liability claims, claims that it doesn't meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims. - If anyone claims the Game infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with it. - You confirm you're not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and you're not on a US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. - Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts that can hear appeals from them. If you live in another country, you keep any protections its laws give you that can't be excluded.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Game changes. We'll update the effective date. For important changes, we'll tell you in the Game before they take effect. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, you can stop playing and delete your account.
